Utkal University

Utkal University is the oldest university in Odisha and the 17th-oldest university in India. Located in Bhubaneswar, Utkal known as the Mother University in the State has a distinguished history. The Utkal University Act, 1943 came into force clearing the way for the foundation of the university on November 27, 1943. Traditionally, Utkal University has always been a symbol of human empowerment and an index of intellectual advancement of the state of Odisha. At   present,   the   university   has   27 post-graduate teaching and research departments with 15 sponsored   courses,   and   3 UGC   sponsored   innovative    programmes. Utkal University has ranked 88th among universities by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022. The university was accredited A grade with CGPA of 3.16 upon 4 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the third assessment cycle.

One Asia Foundation

One Asia Foundation aims to contribute to the establishment and promotion of Asian community in the world. To this purpose, the foundation carries out or supports various activities which will stimulate a common sense of values among Asian people through economic, educational, cultural exchanges as well as citizens’ good-will meetings to deepen their mutual understanding. The target of these activities is to create a rich, peaceful and secure Asian community where people can live together each holding their own dreams and hopes, which will result in global peace and security.

Institute of Media Studies

The Institute of Media Studies, popularly known as IMS, was founded in 1994. The Institute is affiliated to Utkal University and recognised by the Government of Odisha. Over these years, IMS has been committed to excellence in higher education foraying into diversified disciplines of learning. It has steadily evolved into a world class academic institution recognized for the experiential learning it offers, the competent and compassionate faculty, the stellar media laboratories, academic vibrancy and cosmopolitan culture. Since its inception, it has been producing trained media, social, financial and industrial professionals while the institute has blossomed into a center of excellence in media studies as well as in social and management studies. The institute has a state-of-art campus in the heart of Bhubaneswar. Known for its creative dynamism and flexibility, the IMS offers varied programmes blending skill development and value orientation to shape the career of students and develop holistic personality to be privileged members of the civil society.
